October and November (2012)

OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER(2012)

CHANEL AND DONA

Group 1 in Buena NJ.
Chanel and Dona are still going strong at the shows. Chanel flew to her bronze Grand Championship in a few weeks from nothing and then her silver in an even shorter time. She got a group 1 in Buena, NJ under renowned judge Kenneth Buxton in stiff competition. She is now #3 in breed competition. Her invitation to Westminster came in the mail this last week. How exciting these past 5 months have been.

Also we started showing Hazel (Pine Cone Smoke On The Mountain) and Kelleigh (Lochwynd's Playin' For Keeps) toward the end of Sept.  in Deland, Fl. Hazel got her first major there and went on to get 3 more points in Oct. for 9 pts. all together. She will be at a limited no. of Specialties before the Nationals in Wisconsin. Always beautifully presented by Dona Williams. Then Kelleigh got her first major and points in Buena, NJ. What a couple of months.

HAZEL

Also in August and Sept. Faith (Ceilidh's Keepin' The Faith At Truheart), who belongs to Gloria Markos-Krakow and is out of my Kelleigh, obtained 1 major and 2 points for 5 points and another major in Deland for 3pts. So she's well on her way to her championship.
Faith as a puppy

Also Gloria's puppy bitch Finesse (Deep River She's So Fine) hit the rings with Dona in November and acquired her first major. She is a double up on Scout.

Can't wait to see what Dec. brings.

NEWS FLASH!!!!!

I acquired a new boy this week from my new friend Jackie Bullock of Kyrie Collies. He is 10 weeks old and he will be Ceilidh's Heartland by Kyrie (Ty). His mother is out of the last Andre daughter. His sire belongs to Jackie and is a Bowen Island (Charisma's Redemption Story at Kyrie) son. He is just what I need to coalesce my line. Thank you Jackie for trusting me with this beautiful boy. Ty will stay with Kathy Moll for a while to coat up for the nationals.

July/August 2012

Chanel and Dona Williams continued their winning ways in July and August gaining Chanel's grand championship in just 10 weeks. She also jumped to 6th place in the standings on the up-to-date Doggiestats site and added two group placements to her repertoire. WAY TO GO DONA AND CHANEL!!!

Also on 8/04/12 Plum became Ch. Deep River Visions of Sugar Plums with her 4th major. She is now at her new home with Ellen Russell and friends.

Also at the end of August in Atlanta, Gloria Markos-Krakow's tri puppy bitch Faith, Ceilidh's Keepin' the Faith at Truheart, (ScoutxKelleigh--see the Feb. blog) won 2 major reserves shown by Kilah, and WB and BOW for a 3pt major (a total of 4 pts.) at just 6 months old, shown by her ecstatic owner. What a way to start a show career.  I will try to add a show picture when it arrives, but for now here is her puppy picture.

June Shows

In Early June Kathy Moll, Pam Brown and I reacquired the Scout daughter Deep River Visions of Sugar Plum from Suzy Roids in California.  We sent her to Orlando for her first shows with us to get her used to showing inside on mats. In the west she had gained 1 major and 8 points all outside on grass.  She aquitted herself well and was on her way to finishing her championship.

Kilah's girl Mist heated up the rings in April and May to minor out.  In Biloxi at the first of June she garnered her two majors to finish her Championship.  Kilah is so proud.

Dona Williams and Chanel started a specials partnership for the rest of the year, to obtain Chanel's Grand Championship and possibly get into the top ten Smooth Collies in the CCA Hawkins system for the year.  Her first shows were in Biloxi where she went BOS every day.  Then Ashville,  Waynesville, Richmond,  and Orlando.  By the end of the month she was more than a third of her way to her Grand Championship.

The Nationals

Ceilidh's Irish Mist

Kilah's girl Mist won her large american bred class at the nationals and it is easy to see why by her pics.  Kilah and I are really pleased with our sweet girl.  She is with Dona Williams for the next few weeks until she finishes.  Kilah can't wait to get her home.

Ch. Ceilidh's Deep River Haute Couture(Chanel)
Mist's mother, made the first cut and won the hearts of a LOT of spectators.  Kathy, Dona, and I were told by more than a few judges that she would have been their choice for BOV.  Ours too!!!! We love her look.

Armani also made the first cut and was also in the top ten smooths after only 6 months of limited showing.

GCH. Ceilidh's Project Runway(Armani)
Armani, Roger, Tyra (Mist's sister), and Charlie all earned Q's in herding.  And Joy (my Sunny's mother) got High In Trial for a major in herding.  She went on to finish her herding championship and become a dual champion this last weekend in Ky.  We are all so proud of her.
